Ryanair flights from Pisa airport

Anyone having problems booking Ryanair flights from Pisa to Dublin/UK? Just found out that the airline has pulled the Pisa-Dublin route as of 4 November. No idea why. Comes as a major blow though. Thanks to Ryanair I've been able to fly home with my family three times a year without breaking the bank.

I know!!!!!! Isn't it awful. What a nightmare! Why is this happening - I didn't hear any fore-warning. The Liverpool route is being pulled too. Can anyone shed light on the matter? Should we start a Facebook campaign to get them back. I don't want to have to go to Rome or Milan for flights!

I've been checking out Ryanair Bologna to Dublin. I think this might be an alternative to Rome or Milan.

Has anyone gone to Bologna airport on trains/buses? Are the connections good and does it make sense (financially and time-wise) to do this instead of Rome/Milan?

Great idea for a FB page but not sure that Michael O'Leary would crack under our pressure!

I may be wrong here but I think the "Bologna" airport Ryanair uses is in fact in Forlė. I've never flown to/from there so I'm not sure how easy it is to get to.

I toyed with the idea of doing Pisa-Stansted-Dublin with plenty of time between flights to allow for baggage collection/check-in, but it worked out far too expensive (double taxes/bag-credit card charges each way).

I've decided to fly with another airline from Rome. It actually works out cheaper, even with the train fare reckoned in.

As for Facebook, I agree with Gaelforce. We'd be wasting our time and effort. Let's just hope whatever dispute (if there is one) is at the root of all this gets sported out soon

Oh dear, this is bad news. They've stopped the Liverpool flights too. Why oh why?!? The sheer thought of goiong to Rome - or even Forlė for a flight just makes it all the harder. Pisa is soooooo handy. Does no-one know the reason for this?
